3D NATIVES: BASF and Essentium - Cooperation for the Development of 3D-Printed Prostheses

"We have already frequently reported on BASF and its connection to 3D printing: from the purchase of the Dutch filament manufacturer Innofil3D to the cooperation between BASF and the French company Poietis for the further development of biodiesel.  Now the German chemical company is bringing the company Essentium on board and the two hope that the cooperation will lead to the development of particularly robust and strong yet lightweight 3D-printed leg prostheses that guarantee perfect wearing comfort but can be produced faster and more cost-effectively."
